OUR STORY
Greetings from 7NorthCo. A little about the husband & wife, creators of this lifestyle brand. Trevor is a Minnesota native, raised with the understanding that you be the best, give it 100% or don’t even bother and never quit. A true Finnish lad and one solid hockey player. Karena was born and raised in South Dakota and was taught from an early age the meaning of hard work, resiliency and not to give up when life got hard. The expectation that if you want something bad enough, you earn it through hard work and persistence. These life lessons have served us well, because like many, we’ve experienced a number of challenges over the years.
It wasn’t long after we had said our “I Do’s” that we both had to make quite the adjustment after Karena suffered a back injury. Our life’s direction changed course. That “timeline” had to be rewritten. We both had to make adjustments while learning to live a life we initially didn't foresee. We came to the realization that what we were facing, was much bigger than us, and we needed to start listening. We are both RN’s in the ICU and although we truly love what we do, we realized we had to stop letting it define us. We had to stop pulling those 16-hour back-to-back shifts, no matter how tempting it was. We learned that in order to care for others, we had to start caring more for ourselves.
We want to take what we’ve learned from all of our past experiences and turn them into 7NorthCo. It is the brainchild of all of our travels, obstacles, achievements, positive and negative life events, all wrapped up into one little nugget. We want to focus on the importance of living a life of balance while incorporating the seven dimensions of wellness. Our mission isn’t only to inspire, but to create a community where we can all learn from one another what living a life of balance and wellness means. By buying into our brand, not only are you supporting our vision, but you will be helping others as a percentage of our sales will be donated back to surrounding communities.
